BioWhen I was a kid, I loved to write, and I wrote for fun. Now I write stuff I get paid for, and it's challenging and interesting and rewarding and pays decently and is, on the whole, still pretty fun. But I'd love to love writing again, if you see what I mean. I hope to find my way back to my own stories someday. This is me, starting on that journey.

I live and work as an alumni magazine editor in the Washington, D.C., metro area.
Happily married to Dr. Vesperh, an oft-travelling environmental scientist whose work focuses on global climate change research.
Current long-term project: parenting the daughters—13 and 10. Check back in 20 years and I’ll let you know how it all turned out.
